We are now waiting on the Hero’s Act to pass so we will know whether stimulus money will be paid to the American people. We are waiting to see if essential workers will be paid hero’s pay or essential workers pay. We are waiting to hear on federal unemployment, back to work bonuses and PUA weekly income for unemployed people.

I remember getting $25 added to my unemployment in 2009. It was tough. At that time, even an extra $100 would have been nice.

I just hope that we seniors who were claimed as dependents get a check this time around. That would be very helpful to some of us.

Stephen, I need to share this with the community: Think of the face mask issue as not about you or your rights but about my two young relatives who are both athletes and one who has been infected twice and the second who is trying to recover now . One under 30 and the other under 25. Two different cities but a mother who has to stand by and pray for the best.My son who last night witnessed a woman in the Rental lot at Charlotte airport who had a COV-19 team trying to save her life as she lay on the ground not responding. Or finally the Clinical folks I talk to everyday on my job who have it or had it and are still at risk for reinfection and how this has affected them and their families lives on a daily basis. So for those who have died and those who are fighting and those who still have lingering issues after recovery, let’s remember them every time we help control the spread when we put on that MASK!

It’s so funny that the idea of money to the people is just now hitting those goons as a good idea to revive the economy. One of these days they’ll get over trickle down 🙄 but at this point I wish they’d have just gone with the Canada plan / a universal income situation. For example, if they’d just given 2k (at minimum) to every adult every month since this all started, with supplements for dependents, it’d probably be less spending overall than the stimuli payments PLUS unemployment benefits and whatever else. And we’d not be in a situation now (well not as much) where things are expiring and people are still broke and hurting.
